Financial Aid

Financial aid plays a critical role in making your education affordable. To ensure you are have access to all financial aid available to you, please follow Virginia Tech’s guidelines and timelines found on its website.

Federal financial aid comes in the form of loans (that you need to repay) and grants. Scholarships may help you make pursuing BIT-Cyber degree more affordable. Unlike a loan, you won’t need to repay it if you accept the terms. To apply for a cyber security scholarship, you need to qualify. Then if you are eligible, you fill out an application. Providers also look for academic excellence and interest in national security. So, you often submit transcripts that show you meet a certain GPA. And or have SAT / ACT scores within an accepted range.

Many also base their decisions on financial need. This means you must show some family income tax information and file a FAFSA. Apart from this, many scholarship providers want to know about you and your goals. You may need to write an essay on a prompted question, provide references, and have an up-to-date current resume. The following are just some examples of available scholarships.
