Increasing Diversity of Cyber Talent

BIT-Cyber in the metro DC area has focused on increasing the diversity in the region’s cybersecurity talent pipeline. Almost 80% of the program students come from culturally, linguistically, economically, ethnically, life stage diverse backgrounds. In partnership with the regional business associations, economic development offices in local governments, federal and state apprenticeships and work-based learning programs, and local business and academic community, BIT-Cyber program team is building diversity cyber talent pathway that allows young people to enter cyber talent pipeline from high schools,  community colleges, and through bachelor’s and master’s education.
