Biography

Ramona Ionescu is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

She earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems and Business Analytics from Baylor University, an M.Sc. in Databases - Support for Business from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University Politehnica of Bucharest in Romania. Her primary research and teaching interests are in the areas of cybersecurity, surveillance, digital employee monitoring, and machine learning algorithms.
