Virginia Tech (VT) Pamplin College of Business, in partnership with NMIMS, offers a 3+1+1 coordinated program that will help you build the skills needed to prosper in today’s dynamic and evolving global business environment.

Students at NMIMS are invited to apply for the NMIMS-VT coordinated program. Students will experience studying in two countries. After completing first three years of bachelor’s degree at NMIMS, Mumbai, eligible students will transfer to Virginia Tech to complete their bachelor’s degree and then continue on to a specified master’s degrees. Upon successful program completion, students will earn the following degrees:

This international learning experience provides cutting-edge, globally focused education in the field of business and life-changing experience derived from living and studying in both India and the U.S.

The students will spend the first three years of studies at NMIMS, Mumbai. After successfully completing these three years, students will seamlessly transfer to Virginia Tech (campus in Washington DC, metro area). In the fourth year of studies, students will transfer to Virginia Tech to complete BS studies. BIT is a STEM major, which will allow student to have up to three years OPT to work in the USA.

 

The VT Pamplin College of Business is one of just 170 business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB International. That means graduates of the NMIMS-VT are eligible for doctoral programs in India or other parts of the world. Successful completion of the program also makes you eligible for employment in government, semi-government and private organizations in India.

Applications to Virginia Tech will begin during the third academic year of study at NMIMS. The transfer application deadline is March 1st, 2023. Applicants must follow the application process and deadlines outlined on the Virginia Tech Undergraduate Admissions Transfer website.

Applications to Virginia Tech must be submitted using the Common Application (Common App). You are required to submit complete transcripts/mark sheets from all universities attended. An English language exam is not required if English 1105 course has been completed with a grade of ‘B’ or higher. High school transcripts/mark sheets, resumes or letters of reference are not required to be submitted. The two websites below have more information on the application process. Admission decisions are generally released in the middle of April. The deadline to accept an offer of admission is June 1st. Upon receiving an offer of admission and paying the matriculation fee of $400, you will be contacted by the Cranwell International Office (international@vt.edu) to begin the process of being issued a Form I-20. This is the document that you will use to apply for an F-1 Visa at your nearest US Embassy or Consulate. You are required to submit all documents requested by the Cranwell International Office and these may include a copy of your passport, Affidavit of Support, and a document showing sufficient funds to study at Virginia Tech. VT requires a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 to qualify to transfer into the VT BS program. In addition, as an international student, you must earn a B or better in your communication/English courses or take an English exam, such as TOEFL. All courses require a C or better to transfer. You are required to complete a calculus based course and two semesters of economics with a C or better to be considered for transfer admission.

You must also maintain a 3.0 GPA while in the VT MSBA program.

The student should budget for such program costs:

  • three-year tuition at NMIMS
  • the entire VT tuition and fees
  • the visa expense
  • health care insurance, air travel, and housing expenses at VT
