What are you passionate about or what are your hobbies?
I enjoy watching sports and contributing to the greater Virginia Tech community through acts of service.

What made you decide to choose BIT as your major and why did you choose the DSS option?
I chose BIT because it offers a unique combination of business and technology. I wanted the opportunity to gain exposure to both traditional business coursework and technical skills that are valuable in today’s workplace. I specifically chose the DSS option because it allowed me to gain experience using programming languages and software that business professionals use on the job.

How do you see your BIT education helping you make an impact in your future career?
My BIT education has strengthened both my technical and communication skills. Since I hope to pursue a career in consulting, having technical experience alongside strong interpersonal skills has helped me stand out. Through BIT, I gained experience with tools such as Python, SQL, and VBA, which I believe will make a significant impact on my future career.

Are you involved in any student organizations, internships, or research projects? If so, how have they shaped your experience?
I had the privilege of serving as President of the BIT Club during my sophomore and junior years. This experience gave me valuable leadership experience while helping me grow my professional network. Through this role, I learned how to lead a team, collaborate with others, and help plan events with companies, student organizations, and the BIT Department. Serving as BIT Club President was especially rewarding because I was able to support other students while building meaningful connections within the BIT community and industry.
