What made you decide to choose BIT as your major and why did you choose your major/option (DSS, OSM, CMA)
I chose BIT because I was initially business undecided, and to my unexpected luck found a passion in technology during my sophomore year. My Dad gave me the advice before coming to college to try and learn a tangible skill during my time at VT, so I combined those two and decided BIT was the perfect match for me. In the spring of that year, my co-worker at Squires was a CMA major, and after hearing about her internship experiences and some of the classes CMA students were able to take, I knew it was the path I wanted to go down, and it turned out to be an amazing choice for me!
Tips/advice for student success:
"Be yourself, say yes to opportunities, and don’t be afraid to show up solo — it might just open doors. Get involved, build connections, explore your passions, and most of all, enjoy it — your time here goes fast!"
