No. The CMA program in Northern Virginia is open to transfer students from any state, community college, and major. However, based on Guaranteed Admissions Agreements, these two VCCS degrees provide many of the foundational classes required for our 4-year degree in CMA. Students pursuing other majors are eligible to apply, but you will likely be required to complete additional courses to satisfy the bachelor’s degree requirements. (You must earn a C or higher in a course for it to be eligible for transfer credit.)

Please coordinate with your VCCS or university Academic Advisor to review your goals with the most up-to-date CMA Transfer Roadmap (located here under the Pamplin College of Business). Please also see this website for resources to help determine whether your courses will transfer to Virginia Tech. For additional questions, you may contact the program team at bitcyber@vt.edu.
