Jeff Danto
Jeff graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a B.S. degree in Business Information Technology, specializing in Decision Support Systems. Upon graduating, he began his career in Management Consulting in the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. area focusing on federal government projects. As Healthcare IT began to become more prevalent, he pursued a career in that industry by earning a Masters in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University (2010). Since then, he has also become a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Jeff is a Digital Health Director with Huron Consulting, and is based out of Houston, Texas. He has led Electronic Medical Record system implementation and optimization projects, and has worked with hospitals throughout the country to manage IT system mergers as a result of healthcare mergers and acquisitions. He has also managed IT needs for hospital and clinic construction projects.
As a member of the BIT Advisory Board, he hopes to work with current BIT students and alumni, and show them how they can leverage their BIT education to help make a difference within the Healthcare industry.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys playing and coaching soccer, and spending quality time with his wife and three daughters.
