Greg Shiflett

Vice President, Manufacturing

Greg Shiflett was appointed Vice President, Manufacturing for Altria’s U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company in September 2018. In his role, he is responsible for commercializing and manufacturing all smokeless tobacco products produced in our plants across Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and Sweden. In addition, he is responsible for all lead market products and smokeless product development work at the Richmond, Va. D-Pilot plant. Most recently, Greg served as USSTC's Senior Director, Quality Management Systems and Chief Compliance Officer, leading and establishing the company's Quality Management System for compliance with FDA regulation.

Since joining Philip Morris USA as a Business Unit Leader in 1997, Greg has held a number of positions across Altria's family of companies in various functions, beginning in logistics and supply chain management. In 2003, Greg took on an enterprise-wide strategic planning role in Altria's Strategy and Business Development department, and later led Forecasting for PM USA in Marketing Information. Later, he gained expanded responsibilities in large-scale manufacturing in Operations Logistics, and eventually oversaw a team of 1,600 talented employees as Director Cigarette Manufacturing within PM USA. After Altria's acquisition of John Middleton and USSTC, Greg assumed a leadership position with the Altria Group Distribution Company as Director, Section Sales, covering a broad range of consumer categories in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Greg graduated from Virginia Polytechnic University with a degree in Business Management Science and holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill. Active in the community, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Nashville, Tennessee-based environmental non-profit Cumberland River Compact organization, along with serving on the Board of Directors of the Altria Company Employee Community Fund, and as an Assistant Scout Master for his local Boy Scout Troop.
