Todd Rowley

Director of Business Development at Old Dominion National Bank

Todd Rowley has over 40 years in the banking industry with a focus on loans for middle market companies. Currently, Mr. Rowley serves as the President for Central Virginia and the Director of Business Development and Non-profit Business for ODNB, headquartered in Northern Virginia. His previous senior leadership positions include national and regional institutions, to include Wells Fargo, Capital One Bank and United Bank. Throughout his career Mr. Rowley has gone beyond the role of banker, providing strategic advice and counseling to CEOs and business owners in the areas of general business management, leadership, financial management and capital structure.

On a Federal level, Mr. Rowley serves as one of the 40 members of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond 5th District advisory council, which includes Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and as a contributor to the 5th Federal Reserve’s Beige Book publication referencing current economic conditions in the District.

In recent years, Mr. Rowley has also developed an extensive knowledge base in IT and more specifically, earned industry certifications and degrees in Coding and Cloud Computing, a DHS-NSA certification in Cybersecurity, and industry certifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Mr. Rowley serves on the board of directors of the Virginia Tech Pamplin School of Business Advisory Council, overseeing Business Information Technology Cybersecurity, and has chaired both the Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) Future of Work Business Advisory Council and the Virginia Tech BIT-Cybersecurity Advisory Committee in a joint initiative between NOVA and Virginia Tech. His leadership of these councils led to the creation of a 2+2 program which provides a 4-year B.A. degree in BIT Cybersecurity taught and conferred entirely in Northern Virginia. Based upon the success of this program, the program has been expanded to a second Virginia community college, and Mr. Rowley was given the prestigious “Ut Prosim” award by Virginia Tech, one of the University’s highest commendations.

Mr. Rowley earned undergraduate degrees with honors in both Business Administration and Speech Communications from Adrian College. He also received an MBA degree with honors in Finance and Operations Research/Management Science from the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business, and a Graduate Degree in Banking Finance from the University of Delaware Stonier Graduate School of Banking with honors. Additionally, Mr. Rowley holds multiple Associate of Science degrees in Information Systems Technology, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure and Services, and Cybersecurity, each conferred summa cum laude.

Mr. Rowley is a member of LEAD Virginia’s Board of Directors, and he has previously served as the Chairman of the Northern Virginia Chambe, to which he remains a member of its Board of Directors, and he is currently serving as a Board Member of the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce.
